Clifton has shown artwork in regional and national exhibits, including group shows at the Toledo Museum of Art, Gallery Project (Ann Arbor, MI), and the Copro Gallery (Santa Monica, CA). In 2014, Clifton presented his first solo show and gave an artist talk at the Center for Visual Arts (Toledo, OH).
Clifton’s artwork is featured in many print and online publications. These include features in the 2010 and 2014 editions of Direct Art Magazine, TWOFOLD Magazine, and an interview in the May/June 2011 issue of Splat Art Magazine. Behance Network, an international online platform for creative professionals, featured Clifton’s Castaways series in 2011, while Illustration Served included The Conductor series in their online curated gallery. The popular art publication Hi Fructose featured Clifton’s illustration “Tuning Out” online in 2014.
In 2015, Adobe licensed Clifton’s illustration The Timekeeper for a TV spot celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Photoshop that aired during the Academy Awards telecast.
Clifton continues to create work from his home studio in Toledo, Ohio.
